New handbook available: Compliance Management

eControl Compliance Management ensures the compliance of any number of regulations.

  • EU Regulations (e.g. EU Regulation No. 139/2014)
  • ICAO standards (e.g. Annex 14)
  • IATA standards (e.g. ISAGO check lists)
  • Planning decisions

and any number of other conditions.

Implementing and proving the compliance of the conditions is a challenging task. The challenge depends on the standard, the organisational structure and the existing level of compliance.

The module “Compliance Management” provides an integrated solution, with which the level of compliance can be systematically improved, maintained and traceably documented. The project’s success depends largely on project organisation, coordination and communication. The Compliance Management manual demonstrates a practical design variant of an EU Regulation No. 139/2014 project. Based on this project the software tools to control and analyse the compliance information and administer the relevant facts are introduced. Interfaces in audit, HR, change and risk management are presented in abstract.

The handbook is available immediately as a download in the Documents area.

With the circular B 232-30 301-430.01.03.02/04/2015, the LBA requests that the measures for implementing EU Regulation No. 376/2014 be communicated to Division B2, the flight operations division of the Federal Aviation Authority.

The LBA is currently appointed as the national focal point for the reception and processing of messages in accordance with EU Regulation No. 376/2014. The Federal Aviation Office already uses the ECCAIRS system to analyse messages from the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) and accident reporting in accordance with § 5 Air Traffic Regulation, as well as air traffic control notifications. The LBA may in future be replaced as the focal point for the processing of messages in accordance with EU Regulation 376/2014 and the provision of legally required notification channels including the digital E5X format using the ECCAIRS taxonomy.
